Biomimicry

We had to pleasure to attend and host an ME310 class on Biomimicry taught at the d.School by Nicolas Buttin from the consulting firm Wiithaa in Montreuil. He did an activity in pairs based on blindfold walking: rather than viewing, the goal was to feel, smell and taste parts of the garden and analyze  their descriptions and functions. In spite of the bitter cold day, everyone wandered around enjoying the sunlight and exploring the landscape with their hands.

Fall planting and hidden treasures

Our class We Are What We Eatspent a great deal of the fall in and out of the garden, planting and harvesting and eating.

First Prize!!

We won first prize  for the most beautiful garden in the Concours communal  de jardins fleuris à Champs sur Marne (catégorie école) and were also awarded the « Fleur d’argent » (silver flower) by the Conseiller départementaux for our « imagination in respecting the environment and sustainable development.
