I’m looking at a rotten tomato. Although it still looks juicy, I wouldn’t eat it. Next to it, there are small colourful plants. I don’t know what they are. However, they’re really cute. I’m still looking for snails but I don’t find any for now. Maybe it’s not rainy enough. Now let’s talk about that tree with these small pointy fruits. Their texture is quite funny and although it doesn’t look like so when you look from far away, it’s quite gluey in it. It is super hard too.
Now I just took a bite in an apple. It was good, but it’s a little too acidic. Therefore, I put it in the recycling thing for a compost.
Now let’s take a look at these little bushes. They look like really tiny Christmas trees but at the same time they are much smaller and seem to grow differently in terms of roots. I come from the south of France (Provence) and it reminds me of the small bushes we have in the hills where I go to run.
I love the fact that we are going in the garden to be closer to nature, especially after so many yeas in prépa where I didn’t have the time to pay attention to such things.
Thank you teacher for suggesting us to take apples to make apple sauce. Although I haven’t made it yet, I found recipes online to make some. I just need to free up some time to do so. Text and photo by Baptiste.
